NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Bedford Borough Council are urging eligible residents to get their Coronavirus vaccinations.

With the high rates of infection in Bedford Borough, it is really important that everyone who is eligible books has their vaccinations as soon as possible.

More appointments are being set up and, to make vaccination as easy and convenient as possible, a range of locations are available.

How to book your first vaccination

Walk-ins

If you are aged over 40 you can drop in to Bedford Heights, Manton Lane without an appointment between 8.30am and 3pm. Please check the CCG's website for the most up to date details at www.blmkccg.nhs.uk/covid-19/drop-in-covid-19-vaccination-sessions-available-for-people-aged-40-and-over/

Booked appointments

If you are aged 30 or over or clinically vulnerable, you can be vaccinated at the Bedford Heights, Manton Lane site. Book via the National Booking System www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or call 119.

If you prefer, you can be vaccinated at King's House or the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple.

  • You are eligible if:
    • You are aged 30 or over or clinically vulnerable, or
    • You are aged 18 or over and provide care for someone (this can be informal care and you do not need proof), or
    • You are aged 18 or over and book your vaccine at the same time as someone you live with who is aged over 50 or vulnerable.

These vaccinations must be booked online via the Bedford Borough Community Vaccination system or by calling 01234 718077.

If you think you might be eligible but you're not sure, please call us on 01234 718077.

Second vaccinations

It is also really important that people get their second vaccination when it is time. See the CCG website for information on second dose appointments.
