The 20 Is Plenty campaign would make Shropshire roads a safer place for all of us. Over 20 million UK residents now benefit from 20mph limits including our near neighbours - Wales and Herefordshire. Based on overwhelming evidence it is known that 20mph wide-area speed limits on the majority of streets and roads reduce death and injury, increase rates of walking and cycling, improve public health, reduce air pollution and climate damaging carbon emissions. 20mph limits are supported by many Shropshire residents. There is a petition you might want to sign if you haven't done so already in support of this campaign and you can do so by following this link 20 Is Plenty Petition If it reaches 1000 signatures by September then Shropshire Council will have to debate the issue.
