Our members can also download the app at the playstore or app store - My Healthy Advantage and that will give them access to all sorts of supporting resources as well as of course the phone number.

Here's a little information so you can see why we as a Party feel Health Assured are a great partner for our members as they are the same provider we use for our employees. For peace of mind please see below a breakdown of the qualifications their in-house counsellors need to have before they join the team:

  • Qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy
  • Membership with accreditation eligibility to the BACP of equivalent
  • Minimum of 150 hour's post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrable experience working with clients on the telephone
  • Experience working with clients short-term and able to demonstrate the application of solution focussed work
  • Clinical supervision throughout all counselling practice in line with BACP recommendations
  • DBS and clinical qualification verification
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous CPD (four days minimum per annum)


Health Assured also has a robust and thorough safeguarding procedure which covers in detail the steps to be taken in the event of risk being identified. All helpline staff and management receive training and regular updates on their safeguarding/risk policy and procedure. In all instances, Health Assured respects their client's right to confidentiality but also recognises the need and reserves the right to breach confidentiality in exceptional circumstances in line with the Data Protection Act and GDPR legislation 2018.
